The Baron Meatballs
melt the butter in a heavy Dutch oven or covered pot
add the minced shallots or onions
sauté until softened
add the flour and stir to cook the flour about a minute
salt and pepper to taste
add the River Baron Artisan Spirit and the sherry or water
stir until thickened and smooth
add the milk or cream and herbs
stir in the meatballs and cover the pan
place the meatballs in the oven or crock pot and heat until hot and bubbling
serve over noodles
ALSO GREAT as a party appetizer served with toothpicks!
