Rye Whiskey BBQ Sauce
Sweat the onion and garlic in the olive oil.
Add the cumin and coriander and let that bloom about a minute.
Add the brown sugar and let that melt.
Stir in the vinegar and cook down for 10 minutes.
Take the sauce off the stove and add the Cody Road Rye.
Carefully reduce the mixture over medium low heat for another 10 minutes.
Add the mustard.
HERE’s where it gets dicey…add more brown sugar and salt until you like the flavor you’ve got.
Chill this in fridge and use it on everything! Makes a great gift.
This is a South Carolina BBQ sauce….there is NO tomato.
