Rye Onion Soup
Sauté the onion slices in butter in batches until all have been caramelized.
Add the garlic at the end.
Stir in the rye and deglaze the pan.
Add the mustard and thyme.
Pour in the consume and season with salt and pepper.
Put a healthy amount of the cheese on the bread slices and brown them under the broiler.
To serve add the cheese bead to the top of the serving of soup and enjoy!
