Open the River Pilot Vodka.
Split 4 large vanilla beans and insert them into the Vodka.
Seal the lid tightly and don't even THINK about opening it for 6 months.
Every so often visit it in a cool dark place and give it a shake...but, really, DO NOT open it. Because when the 6 months to 1 year are over you will be rewarded with some of the finest Vanilla Extract in the world.
Use it wisely in baking and homade ice cream.
Rebottle into small gift sized bottles and give it to some of the lucky people that call you 'friend'.
